Description

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office, the independent public prosecution office of the European Union, is seeking applications for the position of Press Officer.

As Press Officer and as a member of the Communication Sector within the Executive Office Unit, you will contribute to and facilitate the development and implementation of the EPPO’s communication strategy.

Tasks and responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Communication Sector, your tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Drafting press releases about the EPPO’s activities;
  • Creating content for EPPO’s social media accounts and website;
  • Organising and supporting interviews and briefings between EPPO management and/or staff and journalists;
  • Supporting the Spokesperson and Head of Sector in providing correct and timely information to the press about the EPPO, both in a proactive and reactive way;
  • Advising and training the EPPO staff in external communication matters;
  • Building an expert network with press officers of national authorities and partner organisations;
  • Monitoring relevant publications of interest for the EPPO and creating a daily press review;
  • Supporting the implementation of the internal communication strategy;
  • Performing any other relevant duties in the interest of the service.
