Description

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office, the independent public prosecution office of the European Union, is seeking applications for the position of Senior Financial Investigator.

As a Senior Financial Investigator and a member of the Operations Unit, you will contribute and facilitate the support of investigations. 

Tasks and responsibilities

Under supervision of the relevant line manager and reporting to the Head of Operations Unit, your tasks will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Supporting ongoing investigations and performing tasks in relation to asset recovery;
  • Conducting financial investigations into individuals or businesses to determine the origins, movements, and uses of assets;
  • Performing analysis of complex financial flows and ownership structures, as well as other relevant data and documents, and producing analytical reports;
  • Support the gathering of evidences in relation to roles and responsibilities of members of complex organized criminal groups;
  • Drawing the financial profile of a suspect and develop the interconnections among different natural and legal persons identified in a criminal investigation;
  • Applying financial techniques to identify and trace assets, including digital assets;
  • Providing technical advice on EU funding, programs, and regulations, and performing other related activities in the specified area of expertise;
  • Performing any other related tasks as required in the interest of the service.
